Hi,
Been wondering about the exhaust on my Exige s 240.
What are the options for upgrades and what do you recomend?
I would not want to change the rear defusser so i think that rules out the 2Bular system(Think thats what it is called). Is the lotus stage 3 any good and what does it look like? Cost etc?
I do about 3/5 track days a year so don't want it to be silly loud so I get black flaged.
Thanks in advance for advice
Nath

I have stage 3 on my car it sits flush with the diffuser and oval shaped. Sounds really nice, quite loud and pops and farts for fun.
Hi, how much does it cost?I have stage 3 on my car it sits flush with the diffuser and oval shaped. Sounds really nice, quite loud and pops and farts for fun.
Is it your yellow exige I see coming North past the angel every day mate?

Thats what I am worried about for track days.
Very nice about the M12, will you be using that every day? do you think you will get the reliability?

2bular is fine without changing diffuser, I'm having one fitted next week. Pretty much the only option if you want to be able to attend 'quiet' trackdays AFAIK.
Noble is a riot, I had a 2.5 litre M12 a while back - like a big Exige really but the engine has a LOT more character (plus it's mentally fast in a straight line). Brake feel is much worse than the Lotus, it's not as good on track as standard, but mine was fully reliable. Get used to oversteer - they can be vicious in the wet! I did two chucking-down-with-rain trackdays in my Noble and had huge moments on both (including 80 mph snap oversteer half way round Clearways at Brands).
Hell of a rush though

Cheers guys for the positive comments, really excited about getting it. Basically my Exige only gets used on a weekend so i decided after driving the Noble that i may as well buy something a bit more extreme lol.
Reliability im not to concerned about really, its a pretty straight forward engine bar the turbos and forged pistons etc my dads an ex service manager so any niggles should we should be able to deal with.
I've bought a monza red M12 GTO 3R with the LSD and uprated gearbox linkage. Its only done 11k and like brand new so over the moon. I absolutely love my Exige and part of me will be sad to see it go but i can see me owning another one at some point in the future. The first time i put my foot down in the Noble my mind was made up, the handling is really good very balanced and seems to absord bumpy roads really well but its the shove in the back that really does it, a very quick car.

Have you got the dump valves in the right place (i.e. behind your ears)???
Noble shifted the atmo dump valves to the back of the car, on mine and other early models, the air filters and atmo valves were just behind the cabin. Very immature, I know, but the silly noises and sequential 'puuuh-psssssssssh!' noises I could get that thing to do... came off the throttle past an old lady walking along the street once and the noise nearly made her fall down
Much more suited to the 'Novadose' crew with unnecessarily large atmo dump valves, but in the Noble I felt it was actually appropriate
Still makes me laugh thinking about that car. It was absolutely bonkers. Lost my licence in it, incidentally. Be careful, it's fast, and coppers don't have *any* respect for them

I havent had a chance to check the bov's yet as i dont get the car until next weekend but i agree on the speed its so effortless. Ive spoke to a number of people with Nobles now and they all seem to have lots of points or previous bans lol..

I've got a Larini Club Sport on mine and it's coming off as not even earplugs prevent it causing headaches. Had a stage 2 on my n\a Exige and that was loud but it wasn't as nastily all-year-round painful as this, possibly because it had the touring pack to dampen some noise. Been wondering about the exhaust on my Exige s 240.
