There must be a good few of us who have the coverless indicator stalks fitted to our Sag's and late Tuscan 2's.

Has anyone gone down the route of trying to get a batch made? There must be at least a 100 plus who would buy them.

I haven't got a clue or the right connections on how to put this into place otherwise I would look into it.

There has been a few topics on this in the past. Leven were going to start producing some & did actually have them on show at Rockingham in 2007, but have heard no more since an e-mail in September 2007 when there was a list of interested customers ,shame really as they looked better than the TVR ones.

This was an earlier thread http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0...

To be honest I think we could do something better than the glued on large salt & pepper pots TVR supplied... I paid £100 for mine but never got them.

On my late mk2, the stalks are the short, shrouded (Fiesta???) type with the end push-button for the wash/wipe. That would mean there's electrickery bits inside so I doubt any alloy version, if it did come available, would be cheap!

Leven were going to use the same as they supply to Farbio. You're correct the problem was the push end wash button which means there are wires inside a hollow stalk IIRC. So you needed to carefully cut the stalk (inside the gaitor) and sleve the remainder with the new stalk, somehow re-attaching the wire... That's why a volunteeer was required geographically close to Leven... I've never heard from Jules if it progressed any further.
The TVR covers just glue on the std. Mondeo push end, so the electrical contact is unaffected. I guess TVR changed to Mondeo when they changed the steering column from Vauxhall to Ford.. std Griff and Chim stalks were off a Cavalier.... Don't know why people are suprised that they are std. Ford parts, most other TVR bits are off other cars or busses. hehe

We have been supplying alloy stalks to a number of OE manufacturers for many years now and have been waiting for the build volume to increase. In the present climate only Farbio have been a consistant customer and their usage is still very small. We have therefore decided to go with a small quantity of the TVR version.(We did actually fit a set to a dealers T350 demo car a few years back) Yesterday we shipped the first customer set off to Hexham Horseless Carriages, 2 more set will be shipped next week to the Scotland region.
The stalks are currently being built by us as this was the original OE requirement and we are doing the TVR versions by converting the customers own stalks to keep cost down.
We are happy to build more sets so if you are interested please call us on Tel: 01268 281611

I spoke to Leven yesterday,Jules said she would post a picture. I'm trying to get hold of a spare set of Ford stalks , so I can send them to be modified. Fitting them is easy I believe, but I'll let X-Works do that. If I can't get hold of them from Wesham ,I'll try Mike Williams at Multipart on Saturday... Jules said about £120 +VAT to modify them.

I've ordered mine and believe Nick has ordered his, Leven need some more orders to make it viable, so get your orders in quickly last chance to get some nice shinney ones rather than plastic.

Tony,

No problem. They look like a big improvement. Hope the Shark Nose cans look as good.

Got a price from Multipart Indicator (Part No. M1656) £25.39
Wiper (Part No. M1655) £28.95 both without VAT

I know their either Ford Mondeo or Fiesta but may depend on the year if Ford have changed them. Be interesting if you can get them as Ford parts, what their price is. I'll be asking Simon on Monday if he can place an order on my behalf with Multipart, since you need to have an account with Multipart before they'll supply. And they wouldn't let me have an account when I tried some months ago, 'cos I wasn't a company.

Just found them on Racing Green Parts http://www.thetvrshop.com/ProductsDetail.asp?PartN...
