Hi,
do any PH'ers own a current-model Range Rover running on LPG?

A friend would like to buy one but has heard varying opinions - I haven't heard much about converting this generation to LPG use but I guess that it would be a sequential injection system.

hope you can help!

Apparently the 4.2 S/C has a few issues but the 4.4 V8 is fine. My 4.4 has a Prins system fitted, which is reputed to be the best (fully automatic electronic system). It cost about £2500 all in which will pay for itself in around 14000 miles or so. You will get low 30s mpg equivalent. You will get a 95 litre tank in the spare wheel well of which around 75 litres will be useable giving about 250 miles range.

Phil.

I have a 11/05 4.2 S/C running on LPG - nearly 20k miles so far. It wasn't easy to set up but is now running very well. Do a search in my profile or PM me if you want details.

This might change your mind...

Don't forget you can't use Eurotunnel either with an LPG conversion - not sure about ferries :?

Ferries are fine.
