I think you will find its just the top rad braket. Get them with the engine and you sould be ok. The speedo will be out and also check you brakes are up to it. I take it you are getting the correct manifolds and carb with the engine.

I think you will find the bottom bracket need changing to the S item also, otherwise the rads sitting obliquely [pi553d]

on the early split cowl cars the bottom bracket is different on a cooper s (to give more room for the lager bottom pulley)

however

on later cars (post 72ish) with the single piece cowl the bottom bracket is the same UNLESS its a clubman one (which is longer and wont fit into a round front), or a later SPI injection one (which is only a little different, a std one holds the rad in the wrong place on a spi).

any round front from the early 1970's to 1990 doenst need a different lower bracket.

I used to buy old 1300GT's [Austin 1100 shape] and put the whole jolly lot into minis. I'd be getting out between 20 and 40 quid for the whole MOTless car at one point. Ive bought a few 1275GT minis, including J,K,L, reg ones for £50 odd, and put them into classics. They used to fly, asll with 7.5 inch discs.
I always bought top and bottom brackets for the rad, I must have been buying generic ones.

i used to the same with 1275 metros.

99 quid, or 130 delivered to your door from the local wreckers, all that was often wrong with them was missing drivers door lock and ignition barrel. we used to tug the motors out, and scrap the rest, didnt even bother with the brakes or anything.

i wish id had the brains to by a few more and store the motors, i never though the day would come when metros would vanish from scrappies!!!
