Sanj is dah man for US upgrades;
http://turboesprit.tripod.com/memcal2.html

I went to the S4sMkV last year, then to the Hi-Torque chip early this year.

Compared to the stock SE chip the S4sMkV "Kicks"!!!

It's a very major performance improvement and best "bang for the buck" upgrade from a stock chip!

But, now I have the Hi-Torque chip and will not go back. The extra torque in the lower end definately gives you all the confidence you need to pass cars on two-lane roads, and weave in and out of small gaps in traffic as required. You will notice a tendancy to want to shift earlier around 5500-6000 rpm or so, because the power curve seems to flatten around there, and I tend to shift earlier because that torque is available in the bottom end to bring me up nice and quick in the next higher gear. This is different than the S4s style, where you get that major acceleration mainly in the higher rpm range and therefore sometimes have to hunt for the right gear to achieve confidence to pass cars.

On the Hi-Torque chip may notice a slight lack of that ever-increasing acceleration in the higher rpm that you get from the stock or S4sMkV, because the higher torque has already gotten you up to that speed sooner (hope that makes sense).

I will be testing and posting a review on the 310BHP chip soon... as soon as the weather lets up. I don't drive in the rain.

Bottom line, if you're short on funds, definately get the S4sMkV.

Be sure your tranny and clutch are in good shape. The S4s cars have a higher clamping torque clutch. I just replaced mine with the PUK +35% model, which is a direct replacement for our SE cars. You'd have to additionally buy a flywheel to install an S4s clutch into our SE's. Some people have no problems at all with the stock clutches. I had 54k miles on mine. Bottom line... just be careful not to stress it too much doing wheelies at stop signs.

Mark 91se with Sanj you have to take your stock chip out from what I understand and he will reprogram your chip to s4s mk5, but does he sell chips were you can keep your old chip and not have to ship the old chip to him. also the chip you have s4s mk5 is that the one with the 3k stumble reduced or not. thank again Alain

As for the chip from Sanj, yes, you can get a whole new chip. Thats how I did it. I have my stock chip that is unaltered, and I have the upgraded chip with the #3 programming from Sanj. I can have the chip flashed with any other setting if I want as well. Its a bit more expensive, but worth it to me. I havn't installed it yet, so I can't comment on the difference, however, from what I am told it is a very good upgrade.

I paid $630 including shipping, for a complete new chip with the #3 code from Sanj. It was received within a few days of payment. However, he may need to order the blank chip if he doesn't have one in stock, and that may take a couple days more. Sanj always answered my emails right away, so its best to email him directly for price and availability questions.
