Any other South African PHers frequent the Wheels24 website?

The comments posted there are heavily monitored and therefore do not make for healthy debate. I thought that if there were any really interesting articles which gave rise to good banter it would be better to chat here.

Anybody?

Hi Pints, I do frequent the site but do not bother to comment on any issues there as I find the posting very infantile and almost all end up in a "BMW is best" type argument. Would be more than happy to discuss SA related topics on here though.

Hi Andy

It's because of that reason - the continual slinging match between BMW and AUDI (wannabe) drivers - that I stuck this thread in here. Owing to the way Wheels24 moderates the posts, it's diffidult to have a meaningful conversation and discussion on the comments board. At least here on PH the idiots get weeded out relatively quickly. smile

Embarrassingly, there have been instances where I've found myself stooping to the level of the Brakpan collective. paperbag

On the up side, it's often amusing reading the articles and comments, hearing the naive and childish view which is held by the majority of South African motoring "enthusiasts".

There is that particular dork that reviews new cars for Wheels24, not sure if he still does. Anycase, he was beaten up for being a dork at Cape Town International Airport a while ago. I remember I enjoyed the video footage shown.

He may or may not be representative of the general reviewers of Wheels24.

I'm not referring to the articles posted, I refer to the comments posted by the readers.

I have been getting e-mail updates from them for years. Great for up to the minute motoring news, many articles are on there way before this site.

I have left a comment or 2 on there, but as said, it's heavily monitored, and takes an age for comments to be uploaded.

Great site for news only!

Agreed. They tend to scour the web for news and articles long before PH gets the first coffee in.
