Door speakers

Took my door cards off today to adjust windows and noticed speaker wires.
Anyone fitted speakers in the doors there's not much room so i assume tweeters only near the top of the door.
Pictures would be helpfull.

You might have the wires in the doors (as I did) but they might not be connected back to the ISO block for the head unit! quite common I was told..... You do need shallow mount speakers and if you locate them in the door bin you might need to fabricate ports to mount them through, dependant on the door card design (if you can reach all the way to the edge of the door they need porting). The tweeter can be mounted higher on the door OR if you get co-axial speakers get ones with tweeters that can be angled. Karl Baker did my install at Car and bike, there are good pics on his web site.

You might be right wish i had a speaker i could of tried i know it's speaker wire as one is smaller than the other.
As its dead easy to remove the door card i will whip out the rear one to try over the wet weekend.
Thanks for the picture guessed it would have to be very slim ones.

Volt meter set to continuity check would work. You will need to remove the head unit to get to the wire block. This also might give it away if there are not enough wires there for the front speakers…..

Yep love it.

When I get back from France the rear middle with be replaced with a 10" MB Sub & I'm gonna fit a nice 5 Channel amp.
Headunit has also been replaced with an Alpine IDA X100 media unit.

Did it myself cost about £100 at a local powder coaters.
