Appears my car did'nt appreciate being gunned down to your place and back in double quick time though. As I slowed down at the end of a slip road on the way back the oil warning light came on Full account below. I hope this isn't the end of the so far bullet proof reliability I have enjoyed!

Thats not good mate sorry to hear that! i think you are right though dodgy sensor or wire come adrift, i assume you have oil pressure? maybe worth checking as i have had a couple of cars with oil pick up blocked that can cause similar fault, but is a french car so more likely to be faulty sensor.

Also Mrs XL did not tell me i had to give you tickets
