Hi,

Anyone please help need a drivers side suspension lower control arm part no.v0092183309 vauxhall tell me none in uk ! on back order could be weeks!! Monkfish looking into this anyone got any suggestions??

pm motomk he is in Oz and might be able to help point you in the right direction.
It will cost you to ship it over though, but should still be cheaper than buying off vx.
Unless its under warranty.... in which case you might have to wait.
There were a couple on ebay being wrecked at one stage too.

I thought the law states that manufacturers need to keep 10 years worth of back suppply of parts. Surely this doesnt mean storing them in Aus. Also if they only have say 10 units (Which would not be adequate) and they got down to 3 left, surely they would order them before htey run out? Something is not right, I cannot believe that so many cars have had to replace this part that they have none in stock.

Thanks guys..stigmund you are quite right but I had this problem with my Monaro ( needed track rod arm) they ( vauxhall) state on "back order" which means none in the Uk then you have to wait until they are bringing over a large shipment from Oz then the parts go to luton to be split up to the dealers....understand process on rare items but suspension bushes which wear!!!!

Another example of vauxhall service ! monkfish are looking to help but i'm really stuck here don't want to damage any thing else by driving the car could be several weeks - local vauxhall looking into hire car but no news ! what a mess any addresses on breakers / salvage parts have checked e bay nothing going?

AUD$250 ish for the part but that can probably be beaten and they are in stock in Melbourne. Have you tried the USA GM parts suppliers? as the part is also from a Pontiac G8.
