Went to pick my demist/wipe pad from the door pocket and it was absolutely soaking wet . The bottom of the door pocket is obviously wet as well but the sides of the pocket are bone dry. To me this means the water is coming from underneath, but where, how and why

Mine does this when I wash the car and rinse with a hose pipe (NEVER use a power wash!!!) - although just a bit damp not dripping. Carpets feel slightly damp too for a day or so after washing.

The door and window (and boot) seals seem to be overwhelmed by the volume of water. Never seems to leak in the rain though

Mine does the same as the rubber seal on the driver's side of the roof is too short and doesn't overlap the door seal enough. I've been meaning to sort it for a while.

I'm looking to buy a Y plate Tuscan and use it everyday (can't afford the luxury to have it as a second car!)... so is this a design fault that has no fix, or can it be sorted out???? I guess being a TVR, not every car will be the same, or does thing niggle appear on most? mmmm....

Not all of them do it all of the time
Mine used to be fine then it started leaking like this on the passenger side. The dealer changed the seals, (one of which is a continuous strip of rubber running all the way round the passenger compartment on both sides); this caused it to start leaking on both sides and increased the severity of the passenger side leak!

Recenly it has decided only to stop leaking on the driver's side again

I hope to get it totally cured at the next service.
