Hi all, quick aircon question, have just recharged the aircon on my car and have a strange effect. The aircon comes on fine, blows nice cold air for a minute or two then starts to go warm, after about a minute it cuts back in and gets cold again for a minute... then repeats...

So any suggestions?

Oh and have recharged it (yes with the correct amount of gas...) so not sure how to adjust anything on the system??

I'd reckon overpressure.

Compressor runs, provides you cool air for a bit but then the compressor doesn't cut back in until the pressure has dropped enough.

Could also be a sticky trinary switch. Did it behave OK before the re-gas?

Thermostat under the dash is switching it off and back on again?
It cuts the clutch in and out.
Thermostat should be set to 3DegC (I think someone said that on here a while back)

Looking at the front of switch (laying on your back looking up) turn clockwise to reduce the temperature to keep it colder longer.

Turn anti-clockwise to stop the matrix freezing up (NOT GOOD!)

Who recharged it?

If it was a DIY Halfords bodge-it can then that could explain a lot.
