Are there any? Starting to think of me relocation to NZ, and have a house and garage full of stuff, most of which is too good to throw away. Any alternatives to getting ripped off or hassled to death by ebay buyers? Perhaos a company would come and view stuff?

There is no worthy rival to ebay worth using. Yet.
Gumtree and your local freeads would be your best bet. I love gumtree, I put an old freezer on there on Sunday morning and by 2pm a guy had come round and handed me £50 for it. Simples.
