I recently got myself an E46 330d sport.
Its great very happy with it. Just a couple of things i need sorting on it..
The parking sensors dont seem to work? When i put it in reverse most of the time it makes a single beep, other times it does not but either way i have checked to see if the work and they do not? Any ideas?
Also, it has standard bmw radio cassette. much to my horror i have found no cd changer in the boot!? What are the chances of it having the wires there? I want to connect my phone.. that doubles as my mp3 player to the radio so i can play music off it. Am i right in thinking that there is a wire that converts the cd changer wire to a USB so i can plug my phone into it? Or am i just better off fitting a cassette thingy with a jack plug in it?
Thanks.

couldn't tell you about pdc, other than it sounds like the rear bumper has been knocked, poss buggering the sensors.

Take a look at this kit for ipod. Loop the plug into the radio system and you can connect your ipod discreetly in the coin tray under radio.

1, it sounds like a faulty sensor, put the car in reverse without the engine running but the key to position 2. Then listen to each sensor to see if one is not ticking and that will be the faulty one. Check the wires see if they are loose etc.
Hope I have this right as my BMW suffered the same and it turned out to be 1 sensor with loose wires.

As for the rest of your issues I have no idea sorry.

Disclaimer: I am sure it should tick and if faulty then it won’t tick

The wiring for the Cd changer will be there. You just need to take the boot trim off on the passenger side to get to it.

Not too sure on what the best solution is for using the phone as an mp3 player. I've just bought a DICE silverline which plugs into the CD changer cables. It gives me full control of my Ipod from the headunit, which includes being able to browse through all albums/artists/playlists/genres all while the Ipod is in the boot.

Regarding the PDC I'm sure there is a bit in the manual which covers how to test the sensors.

Cheers
Bryan.

My park sensors occasionally play up, one of them looks like it has slight corrosion under the paint (I assume the centre part is metal), I'm guessing that's the problem. I wonder if any of your's have the same problem?
