Hi all.

I've got a couple of things coming up that i'd like done over the summer. I have a set of headers to go on and was wondering if anybody had fit some themselves, how easy it was, and any tips you might have for when I come to tackle the job?

Second is an intake manifold and valve covers. I have a manifold that is ready to go to powder coat right away and was curious if anybody knew a decent place for it? I want it in blue to match the car. Also again, how easy are the intake manifolds to swap over and how easy are the valve covers to take off and put back on?

Any help or advice would be appreciated and put into practice!

Thanks alot,

Craig.

Make sure who ever you use for the powder coating knows that the valve covers are Magnesium .....

Intake and covers are straight forward bolt off/on 11mm bolts with a torx head in the middle..

Headers will be alot easier with the covers off as well..Just be carefull with the stock heat shields as they are razor sharp...

You will need

Intake gaskets
IAC Gasket
throttle boddy gaskets

Valve cover gaskets are reusable..

I've got a set of SVS Racing headers, something I've not seen too much of, so will be nice to see how they go.

Thanks for all the advice, any idea how long the powder coating process takes? I might come down your neck of the woods for a day or two Baz if the powder coater you know is good. Any ideas what they charge for the manifold and valve covers?

Cheers.
