I guess that's for me Jo? Have to convince them that the travelling isn't going to present a problem to me (80%) so we are making progress as they were happy in all other respects.

Yipeeeeeeeee !!

Yes Jo, picked it up yesterday, now in Brighton visiting friends, nursing a after too much

I actually thought I'd broken it 10 seconds after Rob drove away. I couldn't get it to start. Rob thought it was the immobiliser, but failing that, possibly a problem with the starter motor

I got out, shut the door, turned the alarm on and walked away. Came back 2 mins later, unlocked it, got it and it started !!! anic_over:

Gave it a quick boot on the M23, sh*t it gets to 100 plus bloody quickly !

I'll be driving it back oop north tomorrow, so I'll let you know how I get on.

Regards,

Tony (Fellow TVR owner)

P.S. Rob says Hi..

Got back last night. 6 hour drive and 300 miles
Chim behaved itself, even during the 2 hour M25 traffic jam. I amused myself by following a Dodge Viper who was giving it large once the jam had cleared, (being mindful of the 3 million cameras on the M25). On a side issue, I was amazed by the number of weekend M25 drivers who sailed through the variable camera sections well above the speed limit !
Other trip highlights include a short A1 convoy with another Chim that appeared from nowhere, then turned off to Bedford. But the best incident what when Johnny repmobile decided to get close enough to check my oil pressure level dial. I moved over one I'd overtaken a truck, the tw@t then overtook me, slowed down when level, looked across with a sneer of 'yer not that fast then ' and he then booted his V6 Vectra. Off he went, doing about 100 happy in the belief that he'd got one over on a sports car owner. Anyone care to guess what happened next ?
.... Flash Flash !!! end of Smug Mode for Mr professional tailgater !!! .
