Gallardo - Reverse?

Read it quite a few times on LamboPower, and also when I said I was buying one, a lot of people instantly said 'don't use reverse'
Guess its a myth!
How many of the people who said this to you were actual owners? I've never heard this about the Gallardo, infact, I've never heard it about any other car........Guess its a myth!
Can’t remember the exact engineering rational for it, but I have read in the past that it’s not a good idea to reverse either a Lambo or a Ferrari up a hill, but never anything wrong about reversing on flat ground.
Anyway when I lived in London I had to reverse my Gallardo up quite a steep slope out of the garage everyday and nothing ever went wrong

I actually read that rumour on hear a few weeks ago. First time i had heard that it was a potential issue.
It's probably the same people that keep the rumour alive about not letting it go under half full of fuel. The only indicator I have issues with on the Lambo is the outside temperature one which pretends it's on holiday in Dubai despite it only being 10 degrees outside

I don't understand the "fuel story" - I've run mine down several times to the point where the computer is showing less than 10 miles to go - never any problems and given the amount I've put in shows the computer is very accurate.

Interesting - had the fuel issue myself. Having a hoon on a low tank. Engine warning light came on, banks 1-5. Chap from Lambo Assist came out and re-set something. Said he gets quite a few callouts like this. The only indicator I have issues with on the Lambo is the outside temperature one which pretends it's on holiday in Dubai despite it only being 10 degrees outside
Not had it happen since, mind you, and I've run low again since then - indicator showing about 30 miles range left.
I have never let my gallardo run lower than a quater of a tank (told not to by LHW) as for the clutch (e-gear) it had a new one just before i bought it i have just done 6000 miles i use reverse everytime i go out in it it saves the wife pushing the car back onto the drive
