Does anyone know of anywhere that can securely store cars in Leeds?

Found today that both my Impreza door locks have been butchered and my N/S/F door has a dent in it from where someone has tried to rive the door handle out

This is third break in attempt in the 3 years I've owned it and its really getting to me now. We have a garage which is full of my parents sh!te and when asked about clearing it I get a load of agro. Which means if I can't securely store the car I'll have to get rid, which I don't want to do but I'd rather sell it than have to keep paying out for repairs from break ins.

Might be easier to put your parents stuff in storage and use your garage for the car.

Bloody thieving bds mad Where in Leeds are you based?

I agree with Pesty that storing your parents crap would be easier - more storage places with small containers/cages than ones that are car sized. Also the insurance costs to consider.
Your parents may be more wiling now there has been another instance of damage.

Where in Leeds?

Echo the above comments, store your parents stuff and garage the car!

Awful you can't have anything nice.

Many years ago when I was younger and lived in Headingley I had this problem with my beloved (but frankly not very good) Mondeo 2.5 V6. On street parking was all I had and the car kept getting broken into. I found an aged neighbour who didn't use his garage and agreed £50.month for the use of his garage.

I had thought of that djohnson, I used to do it with a family friends garage but they use it now.

It seems like a good idea people, I'll look into storage prices though frankly a lot of the crap in the garage isn't worth keeping, its just kept because of my hoarding Dad, everything "might be useful one day".

On the plus side I explained what's happened to my dad today and he seems to be quite understanding about it and hopefully we will be able to sort the garage out and get my car in it...fingers crossed.

Rich

What about asking a few of your neighbours who have a garage but don't have a car?
You might be surprised...

Only got one neighbour in that situation but their garage is just as full as ours with junk and an added bonus is they hate me because of the car so I wouldn't get anywhere asking.

Get rid of all their crap and don't tell them - they'll never notice.

Or, box it all up and ship it to them - your garage is your space... My Mum went on at me a few years back to clear out "my crap" from her attic - I never got around to it and she binned the lot - I was gutted as I lost a lot of old personal letters (remember them?!?!) but I only had myself to blame.

Unfortunately, due to seriously stupid financial decisions when I was younger, I still live at home frown
