Advice N138 after Rouen ?

Just planning my route down on Thursday morning and everyone keeps going on about the N138, can any of you guys advise how long I stay on the N138 after Rouen or does it go all the way to LeMans as Google maps only shows this road labeled for about 10 miles out of Rouen ?

N138 is now called the D438 then becomes the D338 after Alencon.

signs for le mans can't be missed anyway,the old roads much better than the motorway ,but be careful plod is on these roads just as much as the motorways

We'll be taking this road too. Did it last year and saw some lovely scenery and had a brilliant lunch at one of the little villages en route.

Stay on it and it becomes the Mulsanne straight
