Got fed up with the idea of 250+£ to go from Pompey to Caen/Cherbourg so booked with sea france for £74 Dover Calais. As you can see Portsmouth ferry port from my house, I'm going to spend the 176£ on petrol to Dover and a night and a few beers in Brighton en-route!

Those figures seem rather high. Best i have seen from thursday to monday is £159 (Dover- Calais) including entrance ticket...

I guess this may be a good rate through a club however....

That seems about if it include a ticket too (general entrance or camping?) as Dover Calais crossings on SeaCat or Chunnel are around the £120 mark.

They were just Ferry prices but as I've gone on to the P&O Portsmouth website 3 days in a row, put in the same detaisl 3 times and had 3 very different prices for exactly the same crossing on exactly the same day, time and boat then I'd take all prices with a pince of salt
Best I've got so far is £74 for a Dover - Calais crossing

Well done then
Regarding the email problem, I've just had mail from Taff so not sure what the problem was/is
And to keep this remotely 'on-topic' we really must think about booking a ferry soon

I noticed your post regarding Dover - Calais, are you edging towards that? What day are we going cause it's a long drive? I was think possibly a night somewhere Wednesday night, and an early ferry Thursday morning?

I got mail from my mum (ntl) so it must just be yahoo to yahoo as i got yours to my work address. Mail me your work address.

Well if we can do Dover for £70ish the travel lodge costs are the same as Portsmouth and it gives us £150 of petrol money for the extra distance, and I'd guess it's no more than £50 more expensive

I sent you a mail to your works from mine, did you not get that
