Council worker time & politics.

As a previous thread , I have quit the "labour party".

I'm still on an email list and received one over the weekend. Reading back through the trail it seems a council worker has been using a council email address to send drafts of press releases to a more senior member during a week day.

Is it appropriate to first use a council email address , therefore publicly funded , to send political messages?
Secondly they were sent during a week day , it looks like work being sent to and fro for redrafts - perhaps working for political parties on the public dime?

I'll send the senior member these questions later today , any thoughts guys and gals?



(Yes mods I know this could go into News and Politics/Computers or even Business - thought it was general enough to warrant Lounge)
