Wortec Exhaust Warentee

Noticed that the exhaust is quite corroded in parts around the flange mating to the cats from the headers. Has anyone else noticed this and although they are far from broken I wondered if they are covered by some sort of lifetime warentee...?

The warrantee is with the first owner......BUT as we have had no design problems with the systems we are happy for dealers to look at systems and advise us if it needs attention on cars which have second owners.

Thats good then as VX through Brian owned it before me so Im the first owner IMO. Not an issue at the moment just questioning it. I must however get around to replacing the duff servo motor on the exhaust valve which was there when I bought it! Shows how much I use the quiet setting...

roger things like mounts can tend to show corrosion/surface rot I'd be surprised if the wortec is actually suffering for it though.

I think you'll find that with the Wortec pipework, the flanges are made out of mild steel rather than stainless, and Mig welded with standard wire, hence the corrosion problems. It's a great shame having a nice engine compartment and grotty looking header flanges.

I'd be interested to know from Paul or someone else at Wortec, why they decided on that design spec'?

Most of the premium quality USA made stuff seems to be all of stainless.
