Mad bike prices!

In my vain search for a decent roadbike for a female I cannot get my head around how much these second hand bikes go for - I know they were pretty expensive new but this one is 5 years old!

Or this one!? Am I missing something here but this has a steel frame starting at £700??

Is the geometry so much different on a size small man's bike?

First one is a full carbon, ultegra build, £350 is a steal - 4 days left, i would guess at at 6-800 ending price.

Second one could be a dog or could be a nice hand built steel frame - depends on who built it. Full 105 for £700 on a nearly new bike isn't bad at all, impossible to tell without more info though.


As for the differences between mens/womens - i know women who ride mens frames, and those who ride womens frames - being a man, i can't really comment. The one bit of advice i would give, is go for 700C rather than 650 if at all possible - going 650 will severely limit your choices when it comes to tyres, tubes and wheels.
