Not heard anything but it is essentailly a 2003 design. From what i remember at the LP560 launch, the CEO claimed that all new Lamborghini's would stick to 4WD

I thought they were going to build a superleggera version of the LP560 which would be RWD to cut weight back more?

I think they've made fairly widespread commitment to all future cars being 4WD.

Hence why the LP670 is still 4WD.

Indeed, but then the recession hit and Lamborghini's output dropped.

I'm hearing a new Gallardo not Superleggera, cheaper and with 2WD...

IMO - less CC's, less power, less weight, lower price & RWD.

I definately heard cheaper, and not a Superleggera 560.

How about

RWD

Less power (to handle the RWD only format)

Not that much less weight (a bit lost on the front pro shaft etc)

No change to the body and...........

More money

Superleggera based on the Super Trofeo car with 4wd is due for Frankfurt.

Be interested to see how a 2wd variant could be slotted into the model line up.

Lambo need to bring out a Gallardo replacement and Murci replacement soon before its lineup becomes stale.

Ferrari already have the 430 done and with the 450 ready, this makes the Gallardo (a car born in the era of the 360) ancient.

Come on Lambo, keep up with the game.
