Council MOTs...

Putting the old girl up for sale (See classifieds if you're interested) and took her for the MOT this morning.

Passed with no advisories! Absolutely delighted.

I can strongly recommend getting the council to MOT your car. They seemed very thorough and impartial. I've never had an MOT before that didn't involve some sort of argument.

Get your council to MOT the car lads it's the way forward...

I have to agree with you. A lot of it seems to be due to the fact they aren't trying to get the business from repairs that will usually accompany a fail on the MOT.

They have known for many years that they will not get any repair work from me!!

Standard class 4 vehicle price mate. £54.

I'm wary of those companies offering discounts. They have to make back that money somewhere and I'd rather it wasn't on squeezing money out of me.

I think they work on the theory that with all the work I have done it must be like new.
