Read it and weep Ladies smile

Tinker, Charlie said yours was the highest NA engine he had had on his dyno... until today.

Sorry PD SC blokes, you are going to have to try harder.. Or is that smarter?

Results are with 95 octane and pretty much no timing changes. Fueling was bang on though. Charlie told me off for not using Super, so I might pop back along to rack some more superior NA numbers for you all to cry over later.

If Im not mistaken that takes the cake except for Mr Oz.

Though a couple of mid winter owl's waited for snow to fall before dragging their ashmatic SC cars over to Charlie's, so might have got close to that number for their one day a year opportunity.

Now I just have to learn how to launch it!

Yeah redline in mine is 7000rpm, but I suspect Im running out of air around 6k, that is likely intake manifold running out of huff. Might have to get a Fast LSX102 or something. It should carry better than that IMO.

I see S600VXR made 505rwhp, so Im definately going to have to run super and try again at some point.

What else would be accurate?

You would have to remove the engine and use an engine dyno to get an accurate flywheel number smile

You obviously don't know Ringram. Yes, at the wheels. HP rather than S_HP on the graph.

congratulations mate, though run in isolation without the other guys here isnt quite so meaningful wink

Wortec gave mine a bunch of HP back by resetting my map that had retarded by 4 degrees or so probably due to crap fuel or crap driving by me or Picador, so I could have expected the carbon to be +/- Roger's VXR600.

I look forward to seeing the combined results on the next dyno day, looks like you're gonna make it very interesting to compare NA/FI on the next one!!

If I hadnt got rid of mine I was gonna run a smaller s/c pulley just for the dyno to wind you up, but obviously that aint gonna happen anymore.

Great result though Rich!!

Not quite sunshine! smile almost mind. Nice to see a NA into the real world of 500whp though.... not before time I might add! tongue out

As for the strip... your gonna have to try very hard as yrs is a lardy old beast IIRC compared to the monaro.

Mine's only 360, but I'll race ya!

Seriously though Rich, this isn't a surprise, it's what it was built for and I know it will make more. Well done.

BTW What's the idle like?

Forgot to ask. Is it Mafless? And why not?

Heavier than a Monaro? Not possible.
Everyone knows monaro's are the heaviest things in the world
