TD5 110 Crew Cab Wanted plus tips on what to watch out for

Hello there

I have listed my golf on ebay and fingers crossed it will go on thursday giving me a budget of roughly 5-6k to get a 110 crew cab, I am happy with getting a high mileage basic model as I can always respray it in black or grey colour and upgrade it with XS leather seats,2inch lift, big tyres on black steel rims etc. All with my own hands of course

I have spotted a basic canedonian blue 110 with 153k and no service history but seems pretty tidy for 4800 all in on a 51 reg.

Is there anything I need to look out for and does anyone know of any other crew cabs for sale around my budget? can travel for right one.

Not wishing to pish on your parade but TD5 crew cabs are around the 10k mark.
There some retor fitted crew cabs so make sure you know what you are looking at

yeah I know a lot are 10-12k but if you really look, you can get some for around 5-7k albiet nearer 100k but i dont really care bout mileage as long its maintained correctly

case in point is my own sprinter lwb van which im converting into is 55 reg and done 375,000 and still going strong and feels like the day i bought it.
