Yeah, should be good. Although she's obviously very annoying, I can't help respect her a little for going for it at her age, even if it is with mummy's help.

Her money? This is the girl that has convinced her mother to sell the family home, move into rented property and give her the money to fund her dreams of property development?

What is wrong with people? Do they have no conscience?

No

I wouldn't in a million years pay nearly a million pounds to live in a terrace. However nice it was or however good the location.

Don't live in London then. There are terraced houses costing thirty to forty times that.

Did either of those families live on this planet? or keep up to date with the news?

The 'son' was easy on the eye though.

The mother wasn't though (mother of the 21yr old). The horror eek

Beaney boobies are awesome by the way, they're definitely appreciating, despite the current climate.

are people really that nieve? (and yes i think ive spelt that wrong)

did they really exect to get that much money?
why would you sell your house so your 21 year old daughter could do up a bungalow?
could they not see we hadnt had a property recesion for a long time, and it was inevitable that it would happen? my parents got told by economists/experts that there was a recesion coming, and they were bang on, right down to the month

At the start, I really wanted to gloat over these people. Seeing people, who thought they were going to make a killing on property renovation, get their fingers burned. At the end it was just a bit sad. (and OMG at that girl's mother...)

Sarah Beeney is usually very good at telling people what to do and what not to do, and stopping them from spending money needlessly. But she kept pushing them to higher and higher end development at a time when it was rapidly becoming obvious that the money had stopped flowing. I have to say that, after so many kids, the Beenybaps must have some impressive support mechanism. Not so much funbags as industrial sandbags.

'tis a pity that they can't go back to all the show participants over the years to see how they're doing now.

Some were good with wise heads, however the majority just benefitted from a surging market rather than actually being any good at property development. They think all their *work*, such that it is, is what made them money, the truth will be hitting home right now.

What makes this bigger car crash TV is that, I think anyway, when they went back to see these two families it was around Oct-Nov 2008 so since then they're probably hanging from the rafters by now.

Isnt buying low and selling high all part of the property development game. Sarah herself has probably made loads soley off the back of the "surging market". She has even on occasion suggested that developers simply sit it out and do nothing to the property - cashing in on the rising market.

Also - dont read too much into the development costs quoted on the show - they can be a long way from reality.

Of course.

However, good developers still make money in a falling market.

2nd hand car dealers manage it after all, and car prices are always falling.
