Newish Noble Owner

I have had a noble 3R since last september and it has got to be the best best car I have ever owned however I do need advice on the headlights abroad especially as they are faired in and dont know how you overcome the regs with angles etc or with the kits you get Any advice most welcome. I also visit the site most days and it makes for very enjoyable reading.

I bought my nob last september too, as with my previous t350 theres no real indication of where to put headlight deflectors on the lense covers, as i've been told a few times before, providing they are on the headlights somewhere (to the left of centre) i think the foreign police would be happy enough. Remember your high-vis vest and bulb kit though!

Halfords do a stick on kit (re-usable) and they come with instructions of where to fit them for all light styles. What's this about a bulb kit? And are you taking the ps with the high vis???

I think you can switch the lights to left hand drive beam pattern on the 3R by removing the rear cover, maybe RobP mentioned it in one of his posts ?

to drive in france you need a bulb kit, triangle and high vis vests for every occupant.... must admit i tried and failed to effectivelly fit the headlight alighment strips so did my entire trip without them

Sadly not, Its law in france at least to have a high-vis vest, spare bulb kit, warning triangle and beam deflectors now, as of last year! Had to take it all to Le Mans when i went.

Worst idea ever! It's a bloddy nightmare sealing the rears back on! takes hours for the sealant to set! (well changing a bulb on the M400 was anyway)

Looks like another quick stop off at halfords then, and i best get my high vis out the loft. There's not much chance of a Noble breaking down anyway.

if you can't get any - you could always try some black tape on the actual lens cover

at least the old bill over there will see you have made an effort

do you only need them fitted if it is dark ?

hiya mate, its easy, remove the rear black plastic cover by removing the screws and black sealant. the hella light unit is held on with three screws two of which are on slots. you can turn the whole lamp assembly to transfer the upstand in the beam pattern to the other side.

do this on both headlights, very very straight forward, make sure you seal the covers when refitting to avoid the lenses gatting condensation inside
