So I take it that nobody from the Midlands is interested in this event which is right on your doorstep? I have nothing to do with the event, but all that I'm trying to achieve is to have a good selection of cars on the stand, is anyone interested? Another attendee for Saturday, Richard Turner in a Mitsi Evo. At this rate I may have to start turning people away!!! Thanks to everyone who's put their names down so far. If you haven't already done so, can I ask you to send me an S.A.E. along with any passenger payments ASAP please.

Also, how about displaying a short description of your car in the windscreen so that the public will know a little bit more about your car? Just an idea. Thanks.

No probs, let's just hope that we get some good weather now??? I'm staying in a B&B the night before & will try & set the banners up Friday evening, but failing that, I'll be there for 07.45. Here's the instructions from the organisers:-

• For those camping, please check in to campsite (Gate 8) before locating your pitch via Gate 1S

• All exhibiting vehicles to enter the site via Gate 1S following signs to Car Clubs

• The site is available for advance set up from Noon Friday 17th July

• All vehicles to be on site by 8 am on Saturday 18th and/or Sunday 19th July

• At checkpoint and on sight of car pass - driver will be given wristband allowing Paddock access

• Passengers who have pre-paid tickets will also be given Paddock access wristband

• Passengers without tickets will be able to purchase tickets at this point - £25 per day, £40 per weekend and £5 per child per day

• For those with Fireworks Concert tickets, please retain your ticket as you will be asked to produce it on arrival at the Concert

• For those staying on the campsite, you will find it easier to avoid the traffic and walk to your car club pitch

Bid online to ride a helicopter with Caroline Gough-Cooper to the Pageant of Power event on auction site: Buy Once Give Twice

Make a grand entrance in your own private helicopter with Caroline Gough-Cooper, ‘Ladies World Helicopter Champion’ in 2002 and 2005, and turn up to the Power of Pageant event in Cheshire on 19th July by entering your bid on Buy Once Give Twice: http://www.buyoncegivetwice.co.uk/lots/a-helicopte... All proceeds will go to Leonard Cheshire Disability.

This unique, money cant buy, experience is for three people to be picked up in the Cheshire area and flown into the Pageant of Power, a must see weekend for enthusiasts of power featuring helicopters, racing cars, aeroplane displays, motorcycles, and powerboats. The winner plus three people will receive free entry and a picnic hamper. They will be flown back to their pickup point after the event. Hurry to place your bid as the auction closes on Monday 13th July.

The cars all packed ready to go including a gazeebo to keep the sun off . As I haven't had anyone ask to the whereabouts of their ticket(s) I'm assuming that the Royal Snail has done a good job? Looking forward to meeting you all. One last thing, there will be a collection box where a token gesture (£1) would be appreciated to help pay towards the return of the PH banners please . See you all on Saturday and for those of you who are just doing the Sunday, enjoy it as well. Thanks.

More photos here http://www.lawrencecliftphotography.co.uk/30360/in... . What a day! For those that didn't attend for one reason or another, I'd certainly reccomend putting this event in next years diary and do the FULL weekend as there's too much to do and see. VERY similar to Goodwood's Festival of Speed but the viewing points (at the moment in the events infancy) are really good, a lot better than Goodwood's, plus with the track being circular (to a fashion) there's no hold ups with the grouping of car category's. There was a broad range of cars and bikes to be seen and heard!

The car club areas could do with WC's and catering, although this may be addressed in future years?

I wasn't aware that the proms was an annual event at Cholmondeley but they combined it with the PoP and (for me and lots of others) it really worked, despite the rain for an hour or so, the atmosphere was fantastic. A few regulars wanted to keep the events seperate, but for me I wouldn't have thought about going to the proms event for an evenings entertainment.

To sum up, a great family day out and an event worth attending, fantastic for the North West.
