Oldest Tuscan ?

After Whitey's (Happy Birthday Whitey) post I got to wondering who has the oldest Tuscan on here?

Mine is 23/05/2000 and I have been the owner for just over a year.

Wow mine is an early one first reg 01/03/2000. Now has 33000 on the clock and one rebuild at Dulfords.

Does yours have the mirror controls low down on the door and the combined door and window controls on the centre console?

Good question, it's so long ago now I cannot really remember when the dealers got their demo cars, I will have a look at some old photos they might have dates etc on them. I think maybe Feb 2000 for dealer demo cars, first customer cars maybe March 2000?

There was also the motorshow cars from 1999, but I cannot remember if they were sold or not, it's a shame Luca Brazzi's website is down as he had loads of early Tuscan photos.

Yup Has the combined door and window button as well as the mirror controls low down. Touch wood though it has been very reliable.

I thought all the early ones were recaleld to be retro fitted with the stereo door buttons? Mine still has pushable window buttons and the mirror control around centre of the door car, never notice one anywhere else come to think of it??

Think mine is Dec 2000 car on an X plate, 53k and going good. Top end done in Dec 06 @ Power and 26k to be fair but not needed at the time.

Dont have photos of the mirror controls but have some of the stereo etc. PS mine is a W plate.

Though I hate to say it(in fear of imminent malfunction) my early door and mirror controls have been very reliable as well.

I'm on around 29K miles, with no known rebuild, but inevitably some engine work must have been previously undertaken (at the factory?) at some point.

I am reliably informed the early cars had less top end power but more torque and that apparently a well known dealer, close to Peter Wheeler had several Tuscans built in reflex green with purple interiors like mine.

Mine probably had factory top end work too but don't have any paperwork for it. I do like the colour of yours.

As for power I have had the new Dulford special cams fitted so think mine is a bit more powerful now.

The doors have been reliable however one of mine popped open a few days ago on the motorway. Someone has said it is due to body flex.

07/04/2000, I picked it up in Dec 2004 with 10,000 miles, currently has just over 20,000 trouble free miles, no rebuild that I know of but still makes me smile like a 10 year old when I go into the garage!

My Tuscan was a early car March 2000, it went back to the factory for all the upgrades, windows,roof,brakes, and suspension, later in 2000, August i think?
I bought it in 2003, and rebuilt to "S" spec in 2005. Sold soon after for the far superior Tamora

Oldest Tuscan. Well there's T'ACK the 1999 factory car that went through many colours, wheels, body mods and engines. James Agger rescued it from the factory just before it closed. Rebuilt it over the next year and was sold to a guy up north. Then resold again through James a few months ago to someone in Germany/Holland.

Yes, I can confirm that the 1999 factory car is in Holland. I had email contact with the guy. The car has the tail of a Tuscan S and does not have the Anderson connector fitted at all. There are some small differences to the later cars.

Hmm, not sure... I think mine was/is a W plate. Will have a look.
