Hi Guys
I went to start the car last night and the bat was flat once again (need a new one), so got the jump leads out and connected them up, turned the car over and smoke start coming out from down by the battery and underneath the turbo. turned the car off and looked under it and there was oil all over the floor.

I have tried to have a look to see where it is coming from but cant really tell, doesn’t look to be dripping from the turbo or anything, could it be the pipe for the oil pressure gauge?

Anyone got any ideas or what to do or who I can take it too? I live in Essex didn’t want to take the car miles away

Cheers
Jim

If the oil filter and cooling housing thingy (cant remember its proper name) are on that side maybe have a look around there and check the turbo oil return pipe as a start.

if smoke was coming out then my guess is it leaking from the turbocharger - check the pipe that feeds the turbo, it may just need tightening

Clean the engine and do it again, see if you can spot the leak, once clean it will be obvious, where in Essex are you?

Without the undertray the access to that turbo from underneath is not horrendously bad. To get the heat shield off or out of the way you need to undo a bolt that from what I remember is nearish to the oil filter and only accesible when the undertray is off.

Hi Guys

Looks like im going to need to send the car into a garage for them to have a look as I just don’t have the space and tools to look at it myself.

We have builder round and they have plonked a skip in the middle of the drive which doesn’t help

Where is the best place to send it too? The car normally goes to kerridges but as I live in Billericay its going be need to be towed or put on a low loader. What is the best thing to do? Does any know of anyone who has a low loader?

I can get it towed but it has no battery power at the mo.

Any help would be much appreciated

Sorry to hear about the news. All i can say really is give www.tvr-centre.co.uk a call, i think they have a low loader and they are also closer to you than kerridges.
