How can I reduce my JPEG file sizes?
Discussion
Apologies for what may appear to be a numpty question - tech stuff is not really my strong suit!
I have a series of JPEG images (about 3MB each) and I need to reduce them in file size to around 500k in order to upload them to PH Classifieds.
I don't have Photoshop or any other aftermarket editing software. When I imported them from my camera I used whatever programme it was that Windows XP prompted me with at the time and just saved them in My Pictures.
Can anybody tell me how I can reduce their size / save them as smaller files?
Thanks in advance.

Irfanview, not only can you change the size but you can adjust the file size by changing the quality:http://www.irfanview.com/
