Uploading photos onto PistonHeads

How do i upload photos onto here?

Usual way: (1) host the image somewhere. (2) Add that URL to your post with [pic] before and [/pic] after.

Funky new way: When you click on 'start topic', as you did, you will see 'upload an image (beta)' - although I haven't tried it yet.

It dawns on me that the person who moved this could have answered it...

Go to:

http://www.tinypic.com/

(Make sure the image you want to upload has one side no bigger than 750px.)

Click browse, and open image. Click "upload now".

When uploaded, click on the "IMG for forums etc". That click will copy the image.

In the reply to topic box, wherever you want to insert the image, right click the space and click "paste". You'll see the link appear (not the image). Click Preview and check it looks good and then Submit.

there is now a function within the 'reply to topic' box that lets you upload a picture direct to PH.

when you reply to a topic, there is a clicky next to the 'rules of posting' called 'upload an image (beta)' click that and robert's your mothers brother

You forgot to close the image tag.

You should format it like this:

[img]path_to_your_image[/img]
And if you want to make it a link
[url][img]path_to_your_image[/img]|path_to_your_image[/url]

You will need the full URL e.g. with http:// in front of it.

And no "="

EDIT: No idea why it's made a thumbnail.

EDIT 2 It's the way postimage.org allows access to images.

An image from my own site works just fine.
