I watched Jurassic Park the other night and was reminded of the major continuity blooper in it.

When the cars on the tour stop at the T-Rex enclosued you see the T-Rex standing up by the fence and being able to claw at the electric wires, yet after all the action happens and the tour car gets pushed over the wall, the drop off is about 50feet or so! Either that T-Rex had bloody long legs or they made a major blooper on that one!

Another good one is Commando, with the self repairing yellow Porsche 911 in the car chase scene!

What are your favourite / most notable continuity errors?

In "The Rock" - the Ferrari/Hummer chase scene, the Ferrari crashes through some parking meters which totally trash the windscreen - and yet a moment later after spinning to a stop - the windscreen is miraculously repaired.

mission impossible 2, bike chase scene, tires change from normal road tires to off road nobbly things a few times in the same scene.

The Rock, ferrari 355 jumps through window, smashed front bumper than returns to normal a few seconds later, along with a windscreen thats broke and fixes itself

The Diamonds Are Forever Mustang through the gap mistake is pretty huge. In one way, out the other.

In The Rock there's a chase scene with a Ferarri. It's windscreen gets fixed after having been broken only moments earlier.

Don't know if you can count it as a continuity error, but every time I watch Ronin, I notice in the chase scene into Nice with the S8 chasing the Citroen XM off-road, there is a frontal shot of the Citroen and its being covered with dust from the camera car.

Might just be my aged memory but the number of "skin jobs " that escape and get to Earth in Blade Runner . I am sure the boss cop says 6 escape and one 'fried' in the escape but then Harrison Ford accounts for 4 and that's it . Rachel ( ?) wasn't one of the original escapees so doesn't count and it is too vague to use the " HF is an android "to explain it since he existed in his role BEFORE the escape .

Cross-movie continuity:
Jurassic Park 1, T-Rex is so heavy that it makes water in cup ripple when half a mile away, booming thudding noise gets louder as it gets closer showing just how big and heavy and powerful it is.....

Jurassic Park 3, Some super-dino is twice the size of T-Rex, kicks the st out of T-Rex as it is even bigger and more powerful... yet it's somehow able to sneak up on the humans more silent that the smelliest of farts.

Similar issue with giant robot in Terminator Salvation too.

There is a scene in the first Pirates of the Caribean movie with two moons!!

Starts with the camera looking up at the moon, huge in the sky above you, the camera then pans down and the sails of the Black pearl pass in front of it as it sails towards the viewer. The camera then stays in a fixed position as the ship sails past and towards the horizon on the right... at which point you seen the full moon way off in the distance just above the horizon.

considering the scene is totally CGI it's a bloody poor effort...

Not really continuity, but very funny - In Star Wars When R2D2 and C3P0 are waiting in the hangar control room on the Death Star, A load of Storm Troopers come in and one of them bangs his head on the door on the way in...

YES! I was complaining about that to my housemates just the other night. I just don't get what's supposed to be going on there.

Not to mention the awful CGI smoke when the brown Merc does a reverse J-turn out of the parking space...

I had the (mis) fortune of noticing this the first time I watched the movie in the cinema. Really confused me a the time as I thought I had missed something!

The car chase scene round Liverpool in "The 51st State" - the roads they go down during the scene bear no relation to their actual physical location in the city- the chase scene jumps all over the place (I bet this is true of most car chases - just dont notice as I dont know other cities as well as Liverpool).

Not only that, but when the other Jeep arrives to begin searching, one of them is instantly at the bottom of the cliff, yet runs straight back to the Jeep when the T Rex is on it's way! Also, how exactly did the Rex get unnoticed into the museum at the end?

Still one of my favourite films of all time though

Commando - Self reparing Porsche

2 Fast 2 Furious - Self reparing Evo

Terminator 2 - Self reparing tow truck

There seem to be alot of self reparing cars in films.

Another funny, Aliens when I think 'Frost' is set on fire when the marines get attacked and falls down the stair well you can see the safety guys run in with fire extinguishers.

Also the 'caseless' pulse rifle seems to chuck out quite a few casings when Vasquez uses it in the air ducting.

Again, not really a continuity error but in Predator, after Dillon loses his arm you can see his real arm tucked behind the fake bloody stump. Also at the beginning of The Shining, you can see the shadow of the helicopter they are filming from
