Advice please Speed-Six owners/ex-owners.

I've been trawling the forums for buying advice, but I'm still not clear on a few things.

Who currently sells warranties which would cover speed six rebuilds?
If these don't exist, who sells warranties that cover everything but rebuilds?
Is it worth just taking a gamble on a speed-six car which has yet to have a rebuild?
Is it better to buy an older car with few miles, or a more recent car with higher miles but presumably more niggles ironed out?

Thanks in advance.

You're in luck - I do.

Just send me £1000 in the post, cash only to my PO address.

I'll then totally and utterly not give you a penny back.

OK?

(Basically sums up the current TVR warranty situation sadly).

Unless anyone knows better.

If your car is less than 10 years old and under 50k miles then the AA will provide a warranty. It's not the best but it doesn't cost too much either. All they require is that you are a member and the service period is maintained by a vat registered garage. There is an upper limit per claim so an S6 rebuild will only be partly covered

As above. In the current financial climate I'd surprised if any company provided a warranty to cover entirely an engine rebuild ca. £4k+.

Motorplan (now RAC)and AA etc. provide reasonable cover at a competitive price - in my case £260 pa for a £1k limit per claim (unlimited claims).

If you buy sensibly - i.e. a post 2005 car, or older car that has had top end attention 2005 or later I think you can have reasonable piece of mind. Many on here are running SP6 engines with +40k miles on them.

Thanks all.

Undecided on model. I started looking for a T350t, but might go all out for a TuscanII S.
