...and a mate of mine (John Dodd) is flying it. After a bit of a struggle with the CAA (who decided to pull the Permit for no reason whatsoever), its on its way to Ireland for the celebrations of the 90th anniversary of Alcock and Brown's Atlantic crossing before finally being retired to a museum.
JD does get some interesting flying jobs - lots of classic stuff, some vintage jets, as well as the Airbus. He led a rather unique display formation we did a couple of years ago in a Chilton (tiny, non-radio 1930's racer), a couple of us in Yak-52s on either side, with Paul Bonhomme bringing up the back in his Red Bull Sukhoi - quite interesting keeping that lot together just with the use of hand signals...
