heater fan and hazard lights not working - help please

i've checked all the fuses and they all appear to be working. The hazard lights and heater appear to be on different circuits (no.6 and No.28 respectively). Any ideas where i might look next?

When my hazards stopped working, it was the big plug on the back of the dash that was very lightly loose.
Don’t think this is connected to the fan, I have herd that this stops working if the heat/cool flap motor goes tits up ??

My heater fan doesn't work either, it's control box is located in the passenger footwell. It's a common problem with the connection that seems to overheat. There is a topic on here somewhere about how to fix it but not done mine yet. Do not know regards to the hazard lights though.

Thanks for your replies. I'll investigate. I assume by box you are referring to a relay on the fuse board beneath the steering column. Cheers

No, on the passenger side in mine, 2001 mk1, there is a black box with a 20 pin plug going in, it is marked up as heater control (i think) one of the wires gets hot and causes a bad connection hence it stops working. I know of others that have managed to clean the pins on the box and it started working again, will get round to doing mine at some stage but prefer to drive it.

The power pin (large black cable) connection overheats and causes a bad contact on the pin causing the motor to stop working. Take the connector off, clean up the pin and socket, put a bit of copper grease on it to improve the connection and it should sort it.
