Hi guys and girls

I have just bought a 2001 520ise with the 2.2 lump... In all a rather pleasant place to be .. :-)

However, I have a rather large scratch on the windscreen thanks to a crap wiper blade.. It is about 3 foot long and the scratch is along an arch which follows the tip of the blade... (Grrr... Crappy blade now replaced!!)

It is not a very deep scratch and to be fair you dont notice it unless you look for it but does anyone know of any way to get rid of it? I know its going to irritate me and I will prob end up replacing the screen, but I wondered if anyone knows of a cheaper solution?

Thanks guys and girls..

Small rock, great height, insurance. smile

Autoglass may well be able to repair it for free, with no effect on your insurance. They once collared me in a local dept store car park and filled in some chips. Cost me nothing.

You can get scratch removing kits from ebay around £15. i have tried one, its time consuming but does remove light scratches.

As S13 says, rock, drop and claim. £50 done.
