f430 becker sat nav

my 430 was missing the memory card for the sat nav. ordered a new one from navteq but it just says "insert navigation software". i loaded the new cd so the card should be in synch with the operating software but no joy. reloaded old cd, same again.

any ideas?

Are you using a proper memory card? - they are formatted in funny way apparently.

I had a similar problem with my becker sat nav in my maserati. It had to go back to a main dealer who had a setup disk that is needed to kick start the software. Apparently main dealers are the only ones who have the setup disks, Emblem in bournemouth didnt even have one and refered me to Meridian. Meridian were very protective over the disk, didnt want to give me a copy.
