Performance difference between late 996 RSR and 2006 997 GT3

HI All

I am looking for some advice about the performance difference of a late say 2004/05 996 RSR and a 2006 997 GT3 Cup car for short sprint races (20 to 30 minutes)what is the pros and cons

Also is the RSR much more expensive to run than the 997 cup and what is the bhp of late RSRs and can the restrictor be taken out

Also would the RSR be more difficult to drive

i know someone selling a 996 rsr... its a good car with a 60k rs tuning engine in it..!! how come u selling the 997...? brit car spa race in 3 weeks would be mega to do..3hr race..2 drivers..!!

I just put it up to see what interest i get really and if i sell it i might buy Michaels 2009 car or a 996 rsr Whats the spec and price of the one you know

I am running in anglessy in 3 weeks and wouldnt really have the buget to do Spa at the moment

Fair play mega run you had in Carerra cup a few weeks ago i recon if you had an 09 car you would have been pushing the top two guys

thanks mark...to be honest the 09 car is quicker..!! not sure if mick is selling his as i hear there is no new cars next year at all..!! so i believe he has lots of interest in his car already.!! think he might keep it for next year as it will be the lowest km 09 car in uk as he's not doing every race this year..!!

i managed to pull a good time from the 06 car... !! it was a quick day indeed and i was happy i went way faster than any 06/07 car has ever gone around oulton..on lap 3 my splitter went thats why the car would not turn in..!! finished 4th in race one which was a uk carrera cup record for a pro-am driver...!!

parker has a test in 2 weeks in snetterton for good money if interested..?? it would be good for u to run with a top team .!!

the rsr is a guy calls andrew tate and its a mega bit of kit..!! rsr is not the way to go in my opinion untill u get the hang of a 997 cup..!! the rsr bites really bad from what geddie was saying who test the car last week..!! ok more power put harder to drive..!!

That shot is fromm Spa when he did not make the start due to an extreme night before....... there must be an inside shot of the car showing the keg of Stella as a drinks bottle.Nice car though Aaron Scott got some good times from it at Spa.
