The lead mechanic at Sherwoods identified my faulty ABS and traction control issue to be one of two things. Either an inner desh relay or the ECU, he orders the inner desh relay on emergency requirement.

It turns up today, opening the box labelled correctly he finds a wheel bearing!

Way to go Vauxhall...

Dealership gets thumbs up, Vaux gets a fisting.

I agree mate. Sherwoods are always spot on but I dread the day when or if I needed to order parts for a fault etc. I don't have much faith in the VX parts network.

uhm you sure the dealership was using the correct parts catalogue - I was under impression it was all updated not that long ago and a lot of the numbers changed. Only reason I know this was I was trying to check price on a standard radiator as a replacement back in march/april and dealer I spoke to had to phone Vauxhall to double check he was using correct version of the database, he'd been having a number of issues with parts.

Oh my God! Mine was in today to have a new bearing fitted. Day off work, drove for two hours, £50 in fuel. Checked three times before I went "you have all the tools - you have the new bearing" "Yes, we have everything we need.

Guess who does not have a new wheel bearing tonight!!!

Wonder where it could be???
