The south west forum has organised two great meets in Dorset, but we only have ONE Ultima - FourStarGTR. I've been trying to find others but no luck so far.

They are both in aid of the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.

They take place on 21st June and 19th July.

We have some amazing cars already lined up for both events, and over £2k worth of raffle prizes.

All PHers are welcome, especially more Ultimas!

Full details here including list of cars, list of prizes and details on how to get to the venues:

http://www.british-sportscar.com/ph/

Please post up on the Raleigh Rally / Motors at the Manor thread in the south west forum if you intend coming, and don't forget to download the admission pass from the website above.

Cheers.

Sorry I did not make today, hope it all went well.
We set out in the Can Am, but had a major electrical problem. i.e. everything stopped.
Turned out to be a dead battery - totally cooked - never seen anything like it.

Update

The event on Sunday at Sherborne Castle was attended by about 120 cars and raised almost £700 for the Air Ambulance. It costs £3500 per day to keep the ambulance flying, so this money is very sorely needed.

Thread with lots of pictures

After the main meeting we visited the Air Ambulance base to meet the crew. Whilst there we conducted a sound test to see who was noisiest - 1st was Macey in his TVR Tuscan (115db), who won the bottle of wine and Noisy Bugger trophy; 2nd was Foundy's Ferrari (113db) and joint 3rd was Duesey's vintage Lagonda and Chimtvr's Corvette (112db).

We also took pictures of our cars around the helicopter and the crew were kind enough to answer some of our questions, e.g.

Due to advancing time, the countryside drive suffered but a number of us made the trip down to the coast:

The website for the next event at Kingston Lacy on 19th July is:

http://www.british-sportscar.com/ph/

Hope you can make it!

Hello, I have just got back from a trip to Guernsey ( lovely and clean but nothing to do at all ) and after a hectic T/D at Silverstone yesterday culminating with my engine knocking a bearing out ( M3, not Ultima ) this is the first opportunity I have had to sit a write a post so here I am to say that I will not be there on Sunday due to my Grandad passing away on 15.6.09 and as he did not want a funeral there is to be a celebration of life in his honour to be held on 19.7.09 so maybe I will make it next year, if you will have me of course. I hope all goes well and wish you every success thumbup

Very sorry to hear that, Wayne. Hope the celebration goes well and lots of great memories are told.
