I think this happened when i was driving though the country side.. the top mount of the shock is dead. I didnt notice it till this morning.. when the car height looked wierd.
Rusty brackets + getting air = broken things!! When I fitted my last engine I probably went overboard and seam welded my front subframe and plated all the mounting points to prevent exactly what you've done. It stiffened the front end up quite a bit too!
