As the title says really, after making my latest purchase I would like to have the facility to change straps/remove links myself rather than having to go to the jewellers to have it done.

I don't really know which exact tools I need to make the changes but I have spotted the 16 piece toolkits on fleabay for about a fiver. Has anyone ever bought one of these? If so are they up to the job?

I know I could spend alot more and get a fancy kit but if these will do the job then I'd rather only pay a fiver!

I'm surprised anyone goes to the jewellers for that. Just buy some tiny screwdrivers from Maplins. You can even get screwback removers for £6.95.

I bought one, it did what I needed it to do (release spring bars and remove pins from a bracelet), but it really does look and feel as cheap as it is.

It will pay for itself the very next time my Citizen needs a battery though as I removed the screw-on back on that as a test and I had no problems whereas I have taken it to a shop twice in the past now and paid easily a tenner each time.
