tasmin 280 fuel problem

Hi folks
I need your help, my mate has a tasmin with a fuel leak by the pump. he thinks its a fuel pipe leak and tried to fix it. now the car wont start, turns over but no fuel is getting through. im going to drive down to see him tomorrow and offer my help/support, and was wondering if you guys could give me some pointers as to any possible culprits.

Sounds like the electrical connections to the pump have been disturbed. If you unplug the AMP connector that goes onto the air metering unit, then turn the ignition to position 2, the pump should run continually. Obviously this is only to test and should not be driven this way..... blah blah blah.
