Kitchen knife sharpening
Discussion
Given that the gypsies dont seem to sharpen knives these days, it seems I need to look around for some other means of doing it. My nice John Lewis own-brand set are is around 5 years old now and many of them are getting blunt. The set includes a metal stick thing which I believe is for sharpening them but I dont seem to have the required knack for using it
So Are there other ways of doing it? I seem to remember someone here previously saying they had a great little device for sharpening knives but I cant find it anywhere

Thanks for the link, but thats a bit extreme for me, I think. I remember someone mentioning a hand held thing with 2 grinding wheels in it that are set at the correct angle or something.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... kitchen knife with a large chip?

The Minosharp Plus 3 ceramic water sharpener is what you want. It is originally designed for the fiendishly sharp Japanese knives, however it will sharpen any old knife.
That's what I've got. It is cheating in the eyes of some, but it is quick and easy. More time for chopping food...
