Thought you might like to see the way the light plays over the curves on the Vantage - try and watch the bodywork and not the road ahead - it's tough. 12fps,
then a bit later in the evening, darker and 24fps

really nice video - good choice of music too

I did something similar for my website a while ago (shameless website plug- www.peterford.co.uk) but i did it in a very ghetto way- nikon d40 strapped to headrest, me in back holding the button down! would only do 100 shots before the cache filled up, but after several attempts, i got a loopable section, which is what i was after.

Id love to know what equipment you used- and also what your exposure time was for the bit a night where youve got lovely flowing light trails. (around 1:20). i found it was tricky to get the right exposure time for that effect- too long, and you get really long light trails, but it all ends up too fast when you stitch it together into video. too short, and you dont get any light trails at all.

Real basic equipment: kyocera 3yr old automatic DSC but has fast cache which is able to provide 1/20th with one sot per second. Jpegs strung together in QT Pro H264 24fps.

Mounting (without scratching) onto fixed quarterlight window above wing mirror support. Lots of cardboard padding, hand clamp and heavy duty ball joint supporting the very light DSC. Mount was SOLID and I think that was one of the most imporant things - you'll see the bodywork never flinches

despite experimenting with many newer small fully auto cameras, nothing else has been found which is suitable for this job. All the newer stuff cannot shoot continuously, at regular one second intervals, for any length of time. The night was mild but it was chilly with the window open - nevertheless the camera was literally burning after a solid hour of shooting. Oh yes, external battery pack in glovebox!

All very Heath Robinson but it seemed to work.

Wonderful. I love how as it gets darker, the camera lengthens the shutter speed and makes things look even smoother.
