CCC did mine, and made them colour coded to my car, black at the inlet blending into Raspberry metallic, to match the car, at the outlet, with the polished stainless end cap. They look and sound fantastic. You will not be disappointed.

This was my ChameleonBlue Tuscan S with Stainless steel CCC pipes. Didn't want coloured ones as I thought they looked great polished!

Simple question - how different do the ccc exhausts sound?

Simple answer - a lot different! To get an idea, just take you current cans off and then start the engine.

The dealer sold me a set of sports pipes when I bought a new tuscan, sounded better than the originals at the time, but sound no where near as good as the ccc pipes. Just visited the site and queried an order!

Does anyone else have an mpeg?

Nick, are you able to supply the clip for Quicktime?

Thanks for the info lads - my cans were ordered Wednesday and arrived in Friday's post. I fitted them Saturday morning and went straight out for a, er, test drive.

Blimey the over run popping sounds like the WWII blitz all over again (I kinda de-catted the car too which adds a few more dB )

I've gone the stealth route and bought satin black ally ones. You can tell they aren't standard but they aren't too obvious (well, apart from the deafening growl that is)

Thanks to the Simon at CCC for gettingthem made up and shipped in double quick time

Easy - I got some de-cat pipes from Peninsular (about £135 + VAT (ouch). I think most dealers stock them. Prices vary so mantion you're a TVRCC member and ask for discount.

1. Jack up car and put on stands all round
2. remove sump and diff bash plates (tyrap the anti roll bar in place first)
3. undo clamps and remove both exhaust systems inc end cans (makes it a bit lighter to manoevre)
4. attach de-cat pipes in lieu of catalysers (clamp to zorst manifolds. Do the top one first - for obvious reasons when you get under the car.
5. refit the exhausts to the de cat pipes (again top one first) and end cans. Make sure it all lines up properly and there are no leaks etc, plus make sure there's a decent gap between exhausts and bodywork to avoid fire risk.
6. replace bash plates and remove tyraps on anti roll bar.
7. Lower car.
8. instant extra 3 - 4 dB of noise and slightly better throttle response!

Warning. Soak all exhaust clamps in WD40 for at least 1 hour before staring. Make sure you have access to somewhere you can get replacement clamps (might be an idea to replace the clamps as part of the job) as I broke one large (front) and one small clamp due to them being seized.

Luckily I managed to bodge the big clamp until I could replace it and a local hardware shop had some SS clamps just like the originals so I got away with it.

A reasonably competent DIY mechanic should be able to do the whole job in no more than 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
