Well my little girl, 3.5 years old can now name all the characters and ships from Star Wars.

She's just pointed at an Imperial Walker and said :

'Daddy is that Imperial Walker called an ATAT'

Truly a moment to savour biggrin

Hmmm, so, in years to come, she'll fancy her brother that you haven't yet told her about?

I was at a Bentley meet some years ago, there was a very small boy walking along a line of Vintage Bentleys with his dad, he stopped, and in an extremely posh voice he said "Look daddy, this is a very early 3 litre, it doesn't have front brakes".

A moment to be proud of for sure!

Make sure you learn 'er right though and teach her that it's an acronym so you pronounce it "ay tee ay tee" reading out the individual letters, not saying it as if it was a word ("attat"!)

Now best crack on with the old Le Mans cars, eh?

Yesterday was a big proud dad day - first of all, the littleun worked out how to crawl; and second, we saw the tiny pulsing ultrasound scan blob that was the heartbeat of his little brother or sister thumbup

Today he discovered gravity by working out how to get out of his cot, and promptly falling to the floor, for which I am also quietly proud.

My eldest daughter (aged 9) said they were asked at school what their favourite smell was...

"I don't know why, but I said petrol..."

That's my girl.

My boy is 2.5 years old now and points at the TV and says "Daddy put Top Gear on now"

he has also sat and watched every Grand prix this year, the heart string moment is when he came back from the hall with his mums old crash helmet on and sat on his push along car watching the race.

And one more.. when he had just turned 2 he was thumbing through my small American car book and happened across a picture of a 4th gen Camaro and said very loudly "daddys car!"

I hope it lasts....

My boy is 2.5. Some of my favorite phrases are "daddy watch car" (on tv) followed by lots of neeawwm noises, "daddy go garage, fix mummy car", not that her car is unreliable but he understands the reason I go garage. And when we go out "we go daddy car, c'mon daddy, lets go", I haven't figured out if he likes the leather seats or the turbo boost yet.

I was changing the plugs in mrs berts car the other day & he was 'helping', he picked up a plug, pushed it into the ht lead and said "that one go there". Very clever these kids aren't they?

Excellent, you'll be so proud when he loudly calls someone a "c0ck" at the school gates... I enjoy TG, but there are times when I cringe if my girls are around when repeats are on, clarkson isn't exactly child friendly.

Maybe not watch TG repeats when they are around, then?

Try getting him to watch something for car fans rather than Top Gear.

A year ago, my two year od boy could point out a BMW (of course), an Aston Martin, a Mercedes, an Audi (no idea who taught him that), a Porsche, a VW, A Ferrari (sometimes confused with a Lamborghini), an old Mini, a new Mini and a Saab ("Saabs are boring"),

Both kids..1 & 2..are avid fast bikes fan`s now after sitting through a few old vids from Frosty,Shakey & the boys. They sit transfixed with the odd cry of "wheelies" like father Hackett & his "drink"

Is it wrong that I want to have kids just to teach them this stuff?
