Picked up a 535d M sport Touring today....drove it back 190 miles from where I picked it up to home...

Had several cars...but this makes me wonder why?????

Space...lot of it...

Power...enough...

Torque...more than enough..

Toys...enough for the average geek freek..ie...me!!!

The car is just so complete...yes I realise it's not a track car...yet capable enough in the world we live in today...

Before you all chip in...yes I feel old...38 next week!!! Even wood trim seems more appealing!!!!

What is the world coming to....and I've not even gone the DMS route yet!!!!

In summary: The complete car for you. Enjoy.

(But expect many naysayers to say other cars are more 'complete').

I cant think of many?

Economy
Oodles of power
That Torque
Comfort
Toys
Space

And thats before we talk about remaps.

While I'm here, does anyone know if Sun protection glass can be retrofitted?

Previous owner neglected this option and it would just finish the look of the car of...

Unsure about the 'tinting' companies hence retrofitted sun protection glass if possible would be nice!!

I would guess the only way is smash all your windows and then pay your 50 quid to National windscreens or the like.

I'm sure it can but its going to cost massive money to do - all that glass, plus fitting?

Windscreens reletively cheap cos they sell lots of them, side and rear mega bucks cos they don't do many as a replacement + you will have to get them from the dealer. Go the tinted route if you must, you will be the only person that will know smile

BTW 335d excellent, fun factor + 37mpg without trying........

Replacing all the glass will cost thousands, get it tinted at a decent company and it will be as good, in fact better as you can choose the amount of tint.

The only place where you may tell is on the rear where the window has the black dots around the edge, this pic is the day after it was done, I went back a week later and he flattened it down to the point where you would never know.......

I went with 5% on the back window, 45% on the rear sides, 50% on the rear windows and 55% on the fronts, this gave me tints all the way down so I didn't get the 'van' look with just the back done, but blended it nicely so you couldn't tell it was staggered, whilst keeping it light enough on the front not get pulled.

+1 Yes that's very nice. I'm not a fan of the factory sun protection glass because of the 'van "look. That looks great.

The fronts have to let in at least 70% light so they're just passed the limit but i've had a few cars with approx 55% on the fronts and never had any problems. Very very nice car and i'm very jealous of you both! Enjoy it!

My E60 has (had) sun protection glass but it didn't stop the sun getting in the eyes of our 2 young kids. Left me needing either a blind with a silly face or darker tints. Surprisingly I went for darker tints on top of the sun protection glass. Had the rear doors and rear screen done. All pretty dark from the outside now but you'd barely know from inside the car which is great.

Front doors are untouched.

Just be careful with some very dark films or those with metal (titanium I think) in for the rear screen - they can interfere with radio reception - I had a problem with this and needed the film changing.

I'm based in Cheshire - had mine done by Nick at Car Stuff in Northwich. £250.00 from memory (mine was about 12 month ago).
